Service Overview
Octon Multimedia Intelligent Router (MMIR) is an intelligent routing system for multimedia based Next Generation Network (NGN). It provides a universal routing mechanism and a universal queue for all types of contacts, like TDM calls, VoIP calls, video, email, Internet IM, SMS and fax, all the ones that a customer might possibly access in the enterprise. It has simple routing schema like normal PABX routing, all the way up to a sophisticated skill based routing ACD (Automatic Contact Distribution) system. MMIR allows all types of devices, like TDM PBX, VoIP soft switch, all the way up to advanced HP OCMP based IP PBX, to work together, and thus provides a single virtual system for all contacts.
Further, it delivers routing services for multi-domain and multi-organization infrastructure for Octon's Multimedia IP Centrex (MMIPC ) solution, in which subscribers can configure their own routing rules via web based tools.
